They are rather likely to simply go where fewer questions are asked, or to lie the next time they try. Also, like my friend who was sent away from one shelter because they didn't adopt to families with young kids, they will badmouth the shelter in question to all their friends and acquaintances.<br /><br />You might convince someone to fence their yard better, but you're quite unlikely to convince a dog-wanting parent that their kids are unable to coexist with a dog.<br /><br />(Incidentally, I successfully adopted from the same shelter as turned my friend down, with a child of the same age, a month before my friend tried.
